Best AEO Agencies for Manufacturing Companies
Key Facts

The best answer engine optimisation (AEO) agency for a manufacturer knows how engineers buy. It also shows how it measures artificial intelligence (AI) visibility. We scored five agencies on five checks, using their public pages on 1 October 2026 and rechecked on 9 October 2026. Knowmad scored 4.5 out of 5. Blend, Bootstrap Creative and Intelligent Resourcing scored 4. Knowmad and Blend show factory case studies. Bootstrap Creative and Intelligent Resourcing publish their AEO prices.

TL;DR
  • Engineers use AI but check the answers. In a 2026 GlobalSpec and TREW Marketing survey, 69% of engineers said they use generative AI when buying. Only 6% said an AI summary is enough on its own.
  • We scored what agencies publish. Each agency was rated on five things: a named AI-search service, a manufacturing case study, named AI platforms, prices and a stated way to measure results.
  • Knowmad scores highest. Knowmad scores 4.5 out of 5. Blend, Bootstrap Creative and Intelligent Resourcing score 4. Marketix Digital scores 3.
  • Factory clients are not the same as AEO results. Case studies from search engine optimisation (SEO), ads or lead campaigns show the agency knows the sector. They do not show that AI answers began to name the client.
  • Compare prices in one currency. Bootstrap Creative and Knowmad price in United States dollars. Intelligent Resourcing prices in Australian dollars. Blend and Marketix Digital do not publish prices.

The Verdict

Pick by brief. Knowmad suits a manufacturer that wants one industrial agency to run its website, SEO, paid search and AI search together. Bootstrap Creative suits a small firm that wants a fixed US$3,000 project. Intelligent Resourcing suits an Australian firm that wants prices in Australian dollars and monthly tracking.

What Should a Manufacturer Expect an AEO Agency to Prove?

The five published checks used to score AEO agencies serving manufacturers
The rubric in full. Each check asks what an agency publishes, not how good the work is.

An answer engine optimisation (AEO) agency should prove three things to a manufacturer. It should know how technical buyers decide. It should have a way to change what AI tools say about the firm. It should measure brand mentions and citations the same way each time.

AEO aims to get a business named and cited in AI answers, not just ranked in search results.

How Are Engineers Using AI When They Buy?

Engineers now use AI tools to research suppliers, but they still check what the tools say. The 2026 State of Marketing to Engineers report comes from GlobalSpec and TREW Marketing, with Elektor.

It found 69% used generative AI when buying. Of those who saw AI summaries, only 6% said the summary was enough.

Engineers also read widely. TREW reports a first in the study's nine-year history. Technical publications passed vendor websites as the top source engineers use to research a purchase. A supplier site is no longer the first place many of them look.

What Should an AEO Agency Make Easy to Check?

A good AEO agency makes a manufacturer's skills easy for AI tools and buyers to find and check. That means clear pages on products, specs, uses and certificates, each backed by proof.

Many manufacturers find that AI answers name a distributor, a marketplace or a trade journal instead of them. Our guide on why manufacturers go missing looks at the causes.

So an agency should show two things. First, how it improves the content. Second, how it measures mentions, citations and the accuracy of what AI tools say.

How Were These Five Agencies Scored?

Five AEO agencies scored on five published checks, with totals out of five
Scored on public pages, 1 October 2026, rechecked 9 October 2026. A high score means more published proof to check, not better work.

We rated each agency on five checks, using only what its website showed. The score shows how much proof each agency publishes. It does not rate the quality of the work, the payback or the odds of being cited.

A check that is fully met earns 1 point. Partial proof earns half a point. No proof earns zero.

What each check means:

  • Named AI-search service. The agency offers AEO, generative engine optimisation (GEO) or AI-search work as a named service.
  • Manufacturing case study. A named manufacturing or industrial client case study reports a result. This shows sector experience, not AEO results.
  • AI platforms named. One point for two or more named AI platforms, half a point for one.
  • Prices published. One point for published AEO or GEO prices. Half a point for a related SEO price with no AEO price.
  • Measurement method. The agency explains how it tracks AI visibility, citations or results by prompt.

Ties are broken first by a published manufacturing case study. Next comes how closely the AEO service is built for manufacturers.

What Counts as Manufacturing Proof?

Sector experience and AI-search results compared as two different kinds of published proof
Two numbers that look alike and are not. Ask for the baseline before you read the gain.

A manufacturing case study should show the agency knows what engineers and buyers check before they choose a supplier.

Manufacturing buyer questionWhat a supplier website should show
Which manufacturer can make this part to a set tolerance?Materials, machining capability, tolerances and supporting documents
Which supplier has compatible replacement parts?Part numbers, equipment fit and application notes
Which manufacturer supports regulated industrial uses?Certifications, test results and quality processes

These are sample buyer questions, not client results. They show why general content often misses what buyers need. Our GEO checklist for manufacturing websites covers where those details belong.

Knowmad

Knowmad is a marketing agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its site carries a 2002 to 2026 copyright. Its AI search page says it has more than 20 years of search marketing work for industrial and manufacturing brands.

Its AI Search Optimisation service aims to raise visibility in Google AI Overviews, large language models and answer engines. It starts by checking a brand's visibility in Perplexity. Its proprietary AI Search Visibility Score benchmarks how a brand stands in AI results.

Knowmad also offers websites, SEO, paid search and content. Its pricing page says SEO "starts at $2,500 per month plus a 20% management fee". That is SEO pricing, not a separate price for AI search.

Best for: A manufacturer that wants one industrial agency to handle its website, SEO, paid search and AI search together.

Watch for: We found no separate AEO price on the pages we checked on 9 October 2026. Its manufacturing results come from wider marketing work, not AI search alone.

Published evidence: Wyatt Seal makes and distributes fluid-sealing products. Knowmad's Wyatt Seal case study reports 41 new customers in 6 months, 49% more qualified leads and 73% more website sessions.

The work centred on a messaging workshop, a homepage rebuild and industry-specific landing pages. These are marketing results, not measured AEO gains.

Blend

Blend is a growth agency for mid-sized and private-equity-backed business-to-business (B2B) firms. It runs AEO alongside wider marketing and revenue reports.

Its AEO service page names four platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI Mode. Blend uses Scrunch to track prompts, position and citation frequency, and benchmarks clients against competitors. It also connects AI-sourced traffic to pipeline and revenue in HubSpot.

Blend says it spent three months testing the framework on its own website before offering it to clients. It reports a 250% rise in high-intent leads from AI sources. It also reports a 171% rise in citations to its own site. These are self-reported results for Blend, not client results.

Best for: A manufacturer that wants AI tracking tied to its sales pipeline and revenue reports.

Watch for: We found no fixed AEO price on the pages we checked on 9 October 2026. Its factory case study covers demand generation, not AEO.

Published evidence: Blend's Robin Radar case study describes work for a radar systems maker that began in January 2020. It reports a 236% rise in sessions from organic search, social and direct traffic. It also reports a 48% rise in monthly high-intent leads, comparing 2023 with 2020, and 289 keywords on page one. The page reports no revenue figure and no AI citation measure, so it shows sector experience rather than AEO results.

Bootstrap Creative

Bootstrap Creative is a consultancy in Michigan, led by Jake Lett. It sells a fixed-price AEO project for manufacturers and industrial service firms.

Its AEO service for manufacturers is a one-time US$3,000 Sprint. That covers an audit, schema markup, frequently asked questions (FAQ) schema and knowledge blocks. It also sets up 25 tracked prompts inside the client's own HubSpot portal.

An optional add-on costs US$1,000 a month and continues the tracking. The HubSpot AEO tool is passed through at US$50 a month, billed at cost.

The page names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. It says the service is built around industrial buyer language: requests for quotation, spec sheets and procurement cycles. It names computer numerical control (CNC) machine shops and metal fabricators among its users.

Best for: A smaller manufacturer that wants a fixed-price AEO project with prompt tracking inside its own system.

Watch for: One senior strategist does the work, so check capacity and timing. We found no named manufacturing client with AEO results.

Published evidence: Bootstrap Creative says its own site is "already the most-cited domain in its own AI-visibility tracking, ahead of hubspot.com". That is self-reported. Its page sets out the project's scope, platforms and tracking, but not a named client result.

Intelligent Resourcing

Intelligent Resourcing is a Melbourne firm. It publishes AEO prices in Australian dollars and reports results by question. It serves B2B firms, and its industry pages cover manufacturing and wholesale, transport and logistics, construction and trade, and B2B software.

Its AEO work checks three things. Can AI tools reach the important pages? Do the pages answer buyer questions clearly? Does outside evidence describe the firm correctly?

Its service pages name ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews. The work finds citation gaps, fixes page structure and tracks mentions and citations over time.

Its published pricing, in Australian dollars before goods and services tax (GST), lists:

  • Strategic Blueprint: $2,500, one-off.
  • Cited-Core: From $3,200 a month, with roughly 16 citation-engineered assets a month.
  • Cited-Scale: From $3,700 a month, with roughly 24 assets a month.

The Strategic Blueprint is the first audit and action plan, and every engagement starts with it.

Best for: An Australian manufacturer that wants a local firm with set prices, an AI audit and monthly tracking.

Watch for: It works across several B2B fields, not just manufacturing. We found no named manufacturing client with AEO results. Ask what counts as a citation-engineered asset and which questions each one covers.

Published evidence: Its service and pricing pages set out the method, deliverables, platforms and terms. That shows open pricing and scope, not a client result.

Marketix Digital

Marketix Digital is a Sydney search agency offering SEO, paid search and AI-search services. Its main site is marketixdigital.com.au; the shorter marketix.com.au address serves a placeholder page.

Its AI SEO service says it helps businesses rank in ChatGPT, Google's Search Generative Experience and Bing Copilot. It also covers technical SEO, structured data and entity mapping.

Its industry pages cover industrial companies, engineering and manufacturing, mining equipment and services, and construction equipment.

Best for: An Australian manufacturer that wants established SEO work combined with AI-search testing.

Watch for: We found no fixed AI SEO price on the pages we checked on 9 October 2026. We also found no named manufacturing client with AEO results.

Published evidence: The AI SEO page sets out its approach and the platforms it targets. It explains the method but shows no AI result for a named manufacturing client.

Why Should Every Shortlist Ask for Self-Visibility Evidence?

Ask each agency to show its own AI visibility, measured on manufacturing questions. An agency that tracks "best AEO agency" prompts can measure itself. An agency that tracks part-number and spec prompts can measure a manufacturer.

AI answers change between prompts, platforms, places and repeat tests. Semrush and Kevin Indig ran a ChatGPT topic-authority study from January to June 2026. Only 15.2% of 1,094 United States topics had a clear leading brand.

The study did not cover manufacturing or Australia. It still shows why one good answer proves little.

Bootstrap Creative says its site leads its own citation tracking. Blend reports gains from testing its method on itself first. A manufacturer should ask a narrower question. Does the tracking show when AI names a distributor or marketplace instead of the maker, and for which products?

What Should Manufacturers Ask Before Signing?

Four questions for manufacturers to ask every shortlisted AEO agency in the first meeting
Ask all of them the same four, so the answers compare.

Manufacturers should ask what a general checklist misses. Ask how United States dollar prices convert, and whether factory results came from AEO or from SEO and ads. Ask how the agency handles distributor listings. Our guide to vetting an AEO partner covers the general questions.

Buyers check AI answers. The 2026 TrustRadius B2B Buying Disconnect Report surveyed 1,862 technology buyers. Among those who used AI, 94% check its answers at least some of the time. It covers technology buying, not manufacturing.

Ask these in the first meeting:

  • What is the total cost in Australian dollars? Two of the five agencies price in United States dollars. Ask for the currency, tool fees such as the HubSpot AEO tool, and the minimum term in one quote.
  • Which manufacturing results came from AEO work? Knowmad and Blend show factory results from marketing and demand generation. Ask which results, if any, came from AI answers.
  • Which product questions will you track? Ask for sample prompts on part numbers, materials and tolerances, not just "best manufacturer in Australia".
  • How will you handle distributors and marketplaces? Ask how the agency treats AI answers that name a distributor or marketplace instead of you, and whether it reports them separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

How much does an AEO agency cost for a manufacturer?

Prices vary by scope and currency. Bootstrap Creative charges a one-time US$3,000 Sprint, with an optional US$1,000 a month add-on and a US$50 monthly tool cost passed through. Intelligent Resourcing charges AUD $2,500 plus GST for an audit, then from AUD $3,200 a month.

Knowmad lists SEO from US$2,500 a month plus a 20% management fee, with no separate AEO price. We found no fixed prices for Blend or Marketix Digital.

Which AEO agency names the most AI platforms for manufacturers?

On the pages we checked, Blend and Intelligent Resourcing each named four. Blend named ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI Mode. Bootstrap Creative and Marketix Digital each named three. Naming a platform shows intent, not results on it.

Do any AEO agencies publish manufacturing-specific AEO results?

None of the five did on the pages we checked. Knowmad and Blend show factory results from marketing and demand generation work. Bootstrap Creative and Blend publish self-reported results for their own sites. Ask for a named manufacturing client with AI citation figures.

Which AEO agencies publish prices in Australian dollars?

Of the five, only Intelligent Resourcing published Australian-dollar prices. Knowmad and Bootstrap Creative price in United States dollars. Blend and Marketix Digital did not publish prices, so ask each for an Australian-dollar quote that includes tool fees.
