What Should a Firm Expect Its Agency to Track?
An answer engine optimisation (AEO) agency should track whether AI engines name your firm when clients research a lawyer, accountant or engineer. That research now starts in AI tools for a growing share of clients. iLawyer Marketing's 2026 survey of 1,110 US respondents aged 18 to 65 found 41.9% would use ChatGPT to research a lawyer, up from 28.1% in 2025.
The same survey puts about half of consumers on at least 1 AI answer engine. iLawyer Marketing sells legal marketing, so treat both figures as vendor research.
Our guide to why professional firms go missing covers the problem itself. This page is for firms that want an agency to fix it.
How Were These 8 Agencies Picked for Professional Firms?

We only included agencies whose own site sells generative engine optimisation (GEO), AEO or AI search work. Each one also had to name at least 1 of these professions. We left out every agency already profiled in our Australian AEO agency roundup, so this list adds new names.
We then judged each agency on 5 criteria:
- Profession proof. Does its own site show work in your profession? A named case study counts more than an industry page.
- Advertising-rule awareness. In Australia, solicitors' conduct rule 36 bans misleading claims of specialist expertise. Accountants and engineers have their own codes.
- AI answer tracking. Does the agency test prompts and record citations across more than 1 engine?
- Country fit. Does it work in your country, under your rules?
- Published pricing. Can you see a price before the first call?

The list runs in 5 groups, from the broadest coverage to the narrowest, then to Australian teams. Inside each group, the most profession-specific evidence comes first. Intelligent Resourcing sits 8th because it has not yet published a professional services case study.
If Your Firm Covers Several Professions, Who Fits?
Multi-discipline firms need an agency that knows more than 1 profession. Hinge Marketing and RevenueZen both name law, accounting and consulting on their own sites. Hinge works only with professional services firms. RevenueZen serves more fields, but it posts its GEO process and its prices.
1. Hinge Marketing
The only agency here that has worked solely for professional services firms since 2008.
Hinge Marketing is a US agency that has been focused on professional services since 2008. GEO and SEO sit beside its branding, research and content work.
- Base: Arlington, Virginia. It started in Chantilly in 2002.
- Professions: accounting and finance, consulting, legal, government work, and technology. It also names architecture, engineering and construction (AEC).
- Research: it says it has studied over 60,000 firms and buyers of professional services.
Best for: A mid-size or large multi-discipline firm that wants AI visibility built into a wider brand programme.
Limitation: The pages checked on 9 Oct 2026 do not describe how it measures AI answers or publish pricing.
Switcher proof: No AI search case study found on the pages checked, 9 Oct 2026.
For GEO measurement over branding, the next agency fits better.
2. RevenueZen
A business-to-business (B2B) agency with a posted GEO process, a pro services page and open prices.
RevenueZen launched in 2017 and now has a 10-person team spread across several US states. Its professional services page names 7 firm types, "and many others".
- Base: US, team spread across Oregon, California, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and New York.
- Professions: accounting firms and certified public accountants (CPAs), law firms, and business consultants. It also lists manufacturing, contractors, architects and tech firms.
- AI search work: checks whether a firm is surfaced in ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini answers, and whether those mentions are accurate.
Best for: A firm that wants a published price and AI monitoring alongside a wider SEO programme.
Limitation: Professional services is 1 of several fields it serves. Its $3,000 entry tier is built around an SEO campaign, and the full GEO programme sits in a higher tier.
Switcher proof: None found for professional services on the pages checked, 9 Oct 2026.
Engineering and architecture firms have a narrower option.
If Your Firm Does Engineering or Architecture, Who Fits?
Engineering firms win on project history. An agency has to turn those projects into answers an AI engine can quote. Siana Marketing is the only agency here that names civil engineers and architects as core industries.
In April 2026 the National President of Engineers Australia put it plainly. AI is a powerful tool, he said, but it does not replace human judgement and responsibility. A project-history case study has to show that judgement.
3. Siana Marketing
A construction and design GEO specialist that audits ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
Siana Marketing is a US agency that sells SEO and GEO to construction and design firms. Its GEO service page sets out how it audits, builds and tracks AI visibility.
- Industries: construction, architecture, engineering, real estate and home services.
- AI search work: an audit across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, then monthly citation tracking.
- Timeline: it says clients see measurable increases in citation frequency in months 4 to 6.
Best for: A civil engineering or architecture practice that wins work on project reputation.
Limitation: It has no law or accounting page on the pages checked, 9 Oct 2026. It publishes a typical range of $4,000 to $8,000 a month rather than fixed packages.
Switcher proof: No named engineering case study found on the pages checked, 9 Oct 2026.
Law firms have the deepest pool of specialists.
Which Law Firm Agencies Know the Advertising Rules?

Law firms carry the strictest advertising rules of any profession on this list. Queensland Law Society guidance notes the regulator's view that "specialist" is likely a derivative of "accredited specialist". The same guidance says you may still describe a specialisation, as long as it gives no false or misleading impression. So the wording is what decides it.
Accuracy matters as much as rules. A 2025 study in the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies found that AI tools built for legal research hallucinate between 17% and 33% of the time. An agency should check what an engine says about your firm, not only whether it names you.
The 2 US law specialists below work under American rules, so check their content against your own regulator's rules before you publish it.
4. Grow Law
A legal-only agency that runs 30 AI queries for each firm it assesses.
Grow Law is a US agency that works only with law firms. Its free AI visibility report shows how it measures AI answers.
- Base: US, founded 2008.
- Clients: it says it has 160+ law firm partnerships in the US since 2008.
- AI search work: 30 queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Gemini, compared with 3 competitor firms.
Best for: A US law firm that wants AI visibility inside a wider growth plan.
Limitation: Its practice areas and rules are American. No standalone AEO price was shown on the pages checked, 9 Oct 2026, though SEO starts at $2,500 a month.
Switcher proof: A 300% increase in return on investment from marketing spend. That is company-stated, described as average results across its 160-plus partnerships from 2008 to 2026.
Personal injury firms have a narrower specialist.
5. Rankings.io
A law-only agency, with personal injury as its deepest area.
Rankings.io is a US agency that works only with law firms. It says it niched down to personal injury firms in 2018 and is now expanding into a broader set of practices.
- Base: US, founded 2013.
- Practice areas: personal injury is its deepest. It also lists criminal defence, family, immigration, employment, bankruptcy, and estate work.
- AI search work: its AI Search service describes structuring a site and its content so AI search surfaces the firm.
Best for: A personal injury firm in a crowded US market.
Limitation: The pages checked on 9 Oct 2026 do not describe how it tracks or reports AI answers, and no pricing was shown.
Switcher proof: A 992% rise in ChatGPT visibility for a personal injury firm, company-stated.
If You Run a Law Firm in England or Wales, Who Fits?
Solicitors in England and Wales work under Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules. They need an agency that knows those rules. None of the law-only agencies on this list is Australian. Our guide to publishing credentials AI engines can check shows how to word them safely under any rules.
6. MagnifyLab
A UK legal marketing agency that publishes its own AI referral research.
MagnifyLab calls itself a specialist legal marketing agency in the UK. Its law firm marketing page sells AI SEO and GEO alongside traditional SEO.
- Base: St Albans, Hertfordshire.
- Experience: it says it has over 10 years' expertise across the legal sector.
- AI search work: structuring content to be cited by AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.
- Rules: builds websites it describes as SRA-compliant.
Best for: A solicitors' firm in England and Wales.
Limitation: It works under SRA rules, not Australian conduct rules. Its law firm packages start from £2,000, with no AEO-only price shown.
Switcher proof: Its published case studies report search results, not AI answer results.
Australian firms have 2 local options.
If You Want an Australian Team, Who Should You Call?
An Australian team works under the same consumer law as your firm, and the same professional rules. Take accountants. Under section R115.2 of Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards (APES) 110, their code of ethics, they must not make exaggerated claims about their services. Edge Marketing and Intelligent Resourcing both sell AI search work from Queensland and Victoria.
7. Edge Marketing
A Queensland agency with law and accounting pages and live AI visibility dashboards.
Edge Marketing is a Queensland digital agency that added AI search to its SEO and ads work. Its AI SEO service runs on live dashboards.
- Base: Gold Coast and Brisbane.
- Professions: industry pages for law firms and accountants, plus partnerships with bodies including the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
- AI search work: live dashboards it says track a brand's presence across leading large language models and generative search surfaces.
- Experience: says it has been delivering results for over 20 years.
Best for: An Australian law or accounting firm that wants AI search, Google Ads and SEO from 1 local team.
Limitation: Its law and accountants pages, checked 9 Oct 2026, do not cover advertising rules. Pricing is not published.
Switcher proof: Its Attwood Marshall Lawyers case study reports a 49% increase in new users to the site, alongside a separate 49% increase in open cases over 3 years. Those are search results, not AI answer results.
The last agency puts the audit before the retainer.
8. Intelligent Resourcing
A Melbourne GEO and AEO agency that publishes its prices and starts every engagement with a cross-engine audit.
Intelligent Resourcing is a Melbourne GEO and AEO agency. Its content strategy approach, delivered through GEO, maps buyer questions and tracks which firms each AI engine names.
- First step: the Strategic Blueprint, a one-off cross-engine citation audit, at AUD $2,500 + GST.
- Monthly work: Cited-Core from AUD $3,200 + GST a month, or Cited-Scale from AUD $3,700 + GST a month.
Best for: An Australian firm that wants a fixed price and an audit before it commits to a retainer.
Limitation: We have not yet published a professional services client case study. We do not have a profession-only team.
Switcher proof: None published yet for professional services.
How Do the 8 Agencies Compare on Proof and Price?

Five of the 8 agencies publish a price you can see before a call, and only 1 of those is Australian. Profession focus is where the specialists win outright. Grow Law, Rankings.io, MagnifyLab and Siana Marketing each work inside 1 profession. No row puts Intelligent Resourcing ahead of everyone.
| Agency | Base | Professions named on own site | AI answer tracking described | Advertising rules addressed | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Hinge Marketing | US | Accounting, AEC, consulting, legal, government, technology | Not on pages checked | Not on pages checked | Not on pages checked |

Steelman on profession focus. Grow Law, Rankings.io, MagnifyLab and Siana Marketing all beat Intelligent Resourcing on it.
All checks were made on each agency's own site on 9 Oct 2026.
Which Agency Fits Your Firm's Size and Budget?
Your firm's size and number of practice areas decide the fit more than any single feature. A sole practice needs 1 profession done well, while a multi-office firm needs measurement it can show its partners. Both matter because clients use AI to research, then a professional to decide.
Rev's January 2026 survey found 39% of Americans say AI is good for early research, but that a lawyer should handle legal decisions when issues arise.
A sole practice or small firm with 1 practice area
Start with a profession-only agency such as Grow Law, Rankings.io or MagnifyLab.
A mid-size firm with several practice areas or offices
Choose an agency that tests each practice area separately. RevenueZen and Edge Marketing both describe AI answer tracking.
A multi-discipline firm
Hinge Marketing covers the most professions. RevenueZen suits firms that want a published price over a branding-led programme.
Which Pages Should a Professional Firm's Agency Fix First?
The pages clients use to check a professional matter most. An agency that starts with blog volume is on the wrong pages. Those are practice pages, lawyer and partner profiles, and contact pages.
MagnifyLab's study of 50 UK law firms shows why:
- Monthly AI referral sessions grew 8.4 times over 18 months.
- Sessions fell 49% in a single month in November 2025.
- More than 30% of AI referrals landed on about pages, contact pages and solicitor profiles.
The study excludes Google AI Overviews, which it says do not generate trackable referral sessions, so it measures standalone AI platforms only. That last figure still makes your people pages part of the job, and it is where generative engine optimisation work starts.
Where Should Your Firm Start?
Shortlist the agency that knows your profession and can show you a dated AI answer baseline. Then check its claims. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says it can require businesses to back up claims about their products or services. An agency's claims about AI rankings are no exception.

FAQs
What is the best AEO agency for law firms in Australia?
Edge Marketing is the clearest Australian option, with a law firm page and AI visibility dashboards. Grow Law, Rankings.io and MagnifyLab are law-only, but work under US or UK rules.
What is the best AEO agency for accountants?
Hinge Marketing, RevenueZen and Edge Marketing all name accounting on their own sites. Edge Marketing is the only one based in Australia.
Can an AEO agency's content breach a solicitor's or accountant's advertising rules?
Yes. In Australia, the regulator's view is that "specialist" is likely a derivative of "accredited specialist", so AEO content calling a lawyer a specialist without that accreditation can breach the conduct rules. Accountants must not make exaggerated claims either. The firm, not the agency, carries the risk.
How much does AEO cost for a professional services firm?
Five agencies on this list publish prices. RevenueZen starts at $3,000 a month, Grow Law prices SEO from $2,500 a month and Siana Marketing quotes a typical $4,000 to $8,000 a month, all on US sites. MagnifyLab publishes law firm packages from £2,000. Intelligent Resourcing charges AUD $2,500 + GST for an audit, then from AUD $3,200 + GST a month.
Should a professional services firm hire a specialist or a generalist AEO agency?
Work in 1 profession, in its home market? Hire a specialist: Grow Law, Rankings.io, MagnifyLab or Siana Marketing. Run several practice areas? Hire a broader agency such as Hinge Marketing, RevenueZen, Edge Marketing or Intelligent Resourcing, and ask for a dated baseline across the main AI engines.
